helping you talk - to overcome your stresses

Helping You Talk

I can help you to talk and explore your feelings. I provide a safe place where you are not judged and I can work with you to look at things from a different perspective and give you a deeper insight.

There are many people we know we can lean on in times of distress, people we love and trust, whether this is a family member or a close friend.  However sometimes this may not be enough which can leave us feeling lonely and helpless.   I can help you to talk and explore your thoughts, behaviour and feelings.   I provide a safe place where you are not judged and i can work with you to see things from an alternative perspective and help you develop a deeper insight.

Counselling helping you manage & overcome your stresses

For You

I work with individuals, couples, children and adolescents. After our first session I create a tailor made plan to suit the issues you bring to counselling. I work with a number of different perspectives and techniques sometimes on there own or a combination of two or more.
The main perspective I work with is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This is an active and direct approach, it helps you to explore and understand negative thought patterns with a view to adapting and changing them into more positive and realistic thoughts. It is a structured approach that gives you practical coping strategies and skills that you will be able to use to help you overcome present and future difficulties.

If you struggle to express your feelings verbally then Art Therapy may be beneficial to you. Whether you are creative or not this type of therapy can be very successful and is particularly beneficial when working with children.

I specialise in Stress Management Training and provide time limited therapy usually over 8 -10 sessions. I hold workshops providing a crash course in coping with stress. If time is an issue I also provide an online course on Stress Management Training. Please feel free to ask for more details.
Stress Management Training can also be used in other issues that we may face as stress is often an underlying factor within these issues.

For Your Staff

Stress is becoming more common in the workplace and is an issue that can be easily addressed.

Stress in the workplace is fast becoming a serious employment issue that affects profit, reduces motivation, efficiency and productivity. Its one of the biggest causes of sickness and can often mean good staff hand in their notice.

Do you think your company would benefit from stress management training? Can you spot signs of stress? Does your company have any of the following:

• Unhappy work environment
• Low productivity
• Low efficiency
• Long work hours
• Poor morale amongst employees

• High sickness levels and absenteeism

These are some of the signs of workplace stress and are not always recognised by management or staff.

I provide stress management training in the form of one to one sessions or in one day workshops. Giving your staff the tools they need will help stress remain positive which increases motivation helping to maintain a healthier and happier workplace.
