I work with individuals, couples, children and adolescents. After our first session I create a tailor made plan to suit the issues you bring to counselling. I work with a number of different perspectives and techniques sometimes on there own or a combination of two or more. The main perspective I work with is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This is an active and direct approach, it helps you to explore and understand negative thought patterns with a view to adapting and changing them into more positive and realistic thoughts. It is a structured approach that gives you practical coping strategies and skills that you will be able to use to help you overcome present and future difficulties.
